“What I learned from writing a thousand wedding stories”
Life is what happens to you when you’re busy doing other things, said John Lennon.
Work inin 2000, I was unexpectedly asked to write about a wedding for .
I was stunned. Why would anyone want to read about someone’s big day? And would the newlyweds be ready to talk about it?
But I found a few, filed the story – and quickly forgot about it.
Until I was asked if, by any chance, I had another wedding the following week.
And the same thing happened the following week – and the week after.
It seemed like yes, people wanted to read about weddings.
