Travel DAZE has arrived and started off with a bang! – Weekly trip
The day of days has finally arrived! Travel DAZE is here and we have a massive roster of amazing speakers to entertain and inform the best and brightest in the travel industry.
We are fortunate to be joined by travel industry experts, Australian media icons and a few foreign ambassadors, among many others.
On top of that, the whole day is hosted by the hilarious Chris Taylor of the Chasers.
The day started with a welcome country and dance recce by Wiradjuri man Neville Boney which was an amazing introduction to the day.
We were then joined by Dr Nick Coatsworth, who explained to us how to travel safely after COVID.
Travel DAZE fans were captivated by an insightful talk from Christina Aventi and Thomasine Burnap on rebellion against editing, then enjoyed a discussion of all things B Corp and traveling with the editor of Travel Weekly Ali Coulton and B Corp experts Natalie Kidd and Mindy Leow.
After morning tea, Roslyn Ranse ran up on stage with a talk about tough times; Leanne Harwood spoke about culture in the industry; Matthew Cameron-Smith spoke about the importance of Aboriginal tourism; and Anna Marsden discussed sustainability and the Great Barrier Reef.
After lunch, we’ll be joined by Australia’s most beloved smart person – Dr Karl Kruszelnicki – to wow us on how travel makes you a better person.
We’ll then be joined by Kathryn Robertson on Having a Sustainable Purpose in Business, Justin Drape will discuss creativity and travel, and Matt Endycott from the pen will talk about travel insurance.
Finally, in the afternoon session, Travel DAZE attendees will be captivated by a panel of South American travel experts for a discussion on travel in South America. Then there will be a Bruce Poon Tip talk on Meaningful Travel and then the post Travel DAZE drinks will begin!
Want to stay? After the spectacular talks are over, we will host the Australian premiere of The last tourista new documentary that lays the industry bare and offers concrete steps to ensure travel is used as a force for good.
