A terrorist financing case has been filed against Hebtan Bashir, the husband of suicide bomber Shari Baloch, who blew himself up outside the Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi on April 26.
Four people, including three Chinese nationals, were killed and four others injured in the suicide bombing carried out by Shari.
In a major development regarding the investigation into the suicide bombing, a case under the charge of financing terrorism has been filed against Bashir and others on the complaint of Inspector Sanaullah at the police station of the Department of fight against terrorism (CTD).
According to police officials, Bashir and other defendants in the case are still missing.
Meanwhile, more CCTV camera footage of Shari and her husband, showing their movements in their flat in Gizri, has surfaced.
It could be seen in the video that on April 25, Baloch left her apartment at 10:15 a.m. to carry out the suicide bombing against Chinese nationals, but returned home after failing to do so.
Who was Shari Baloch?
Shari came from a family with an educated background and was pursuing a master’s degree in philosophy.

The host went on to say that the organization had used a female suicide bomber for the first time. Speaking about Shari’s family, Wajid said his family “does not know about his activities”. However, the family confirmed his identity through a photo released by the Majeed Brigade.
Shari was from Kech district in Turbat region of Balochistan and was married to a doctor. She moved to Karachi with her husband for higher education and visited Kech district for the last time for her sister’s wedding. She was also a teacher in a public school.
Wajid added that Shari’s father was a registrar at Turbat University.
