Since news of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s secret wedding broke, there has been a lot of interest around their wedding venue in Rajasthan which just happens to be a fort located in the village of Chauth Ka Barwara.

The grand Six Senses Fort Barwara Palace will host the much-evoked wedding of Kaif and Kaushal. Of course, for a special wedding like this, the venue has to be just as splendid and in this case, this one is also very “royal”.

This magnificent 14th century fort has been converted to become a Six Senses wellness sanctuary.

The palace complex originally belonged to a royal family in Rajasthan and faces the Chauth ka Barwara Mandir temple. The significant conservation effort includes two palaces and two temples within the fortified royal fort, the property’s website says. The design of the Six Senses resort itself has a majestic history behind it as it reinterprets the gracious and regal vibe of a bygone era dating back 700 years.

The historic royal forest overlooks the lake and the temple of Barwara. The Six Senses is also surrounded by picturesque forests.

Six Senses Fort Barwara is a three-hour drive from Jaipur and a 30-minute drive from Ranthambore National Park, where you can go in search of the region’s wild tigers.

There’s a lot going on at the Fort Palace Resort as it hosts special events, cultural celebrations, or grand weddings.

Royal retreat to take care of yourself
The Royal Palace not only offers a large comfortable stay, but also a luxurious wellness experience. The resort is home to the Six Senses Spa and a fitness center located in the original Women’s Palace and both temples.

The website also adds that the spa offers an extensive system of Ayurvedic “whole body” healing, meditation, and personalized wellness programs based on preventative principles from Eastern medicine and Western influences. They use their own line of native essential oils, muds, clays, gels and vegetable oils, all lovingly blended for their therapeutic energy.

Each accommodation is designed in a contemporary Rajasthani style, reinterpreting the fort’s rich history while subtly incorporating cutting-edge technology with handmade mattresses and soft cotton bedding to provide guests with a luxurious stay experience.

The cheapest suite at this palace hotel is the Sanctuary Suite, which costs over Rs 75,000 per night on weekdays and off-season.
