Meghan Markle’s ‘tidy’ jewelry that Queen Elizabeth gave her reveals a ‘painful truth’ | royal | New
The jewelry that Meghan Markle wears during public engagements linked to the royal family shows that the Duchess of Sussex “never quite belonged in the royal ring bling”, it has been claimed. One commenter has suggested that some pieces Meghan has worn over time are incomparable to Kate, Princess of Wales’ collection in terms of size and value.
In a commentary article titled, “Kate Middleton’s expensive jewelry shines a light on painful truth for Meghan Markle,” journalist Daniela Elser spoke about some of the accessories the Princess of Wales wore this week.
Kate had a pair of earrings made from pearls which were given to Queen Elizabeth II for her wedding in 1947 by the Hakim of Bahrain.
Queen Elizabeth II herself had worn the earrings on several important occasions and for an occasional portrait.
The Princess of Wales was also seen wearing a four-row pearl and diamond choker at the Festival of Remembrance event.
Then, the next day, she accessorized her Catherine Walker coat dress with large pearl and diamond earrings that came to her via Queen Elizabeth.
The coins, the reporter suggested, are valued “at more than the gross GDP of a small country.”
The princess wore the same combination of earrings and choker to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, while Meghan Markle also wore jewelry derived from the late monarch.
But, in comparison, Kate’s jewelry was worth much more than the Duchess’s, Ms Elser claimed.

She added: “[At the funeral] Meghan also paid tribute to Her Majesty by similarly wearing a pair of diamond and pearl earrings given to her by her mother-in-law.
“Same but not at all. Look at the images of the royal WAGs side by side and the big difference is obvious.
“While Kate’s pair honks stunning pieces that someone else might assume were plastic fakes, they’re so big, Meghan’s pair, while stylish and a very thoughtful gift from the late nonagenarian, is relatively neat.”
Ms Elser goes on to describe and compare other priceless jewellery, concluding: “Perhaps if Meghan and Harry had stayed in the UK this jewelery situation might have changed and the Duchess of Sussex might have ended up, like Kate, Camilla and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, regularly adding sparkle to her outfit of the day with a few trinkets from the official horde.”

Meghan Markle’s rule-breaking fashion choice has a hidden meaning
“(Lord alone knows how many diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires they did scatter in the Palace.)
“But, Meghan never quite made it into the royal bling circle.
“Instead, to paraphrase the eternal words of Destiny’s Child, ‘she buys her own diamonds and she buys her own rings.’
“And those? She doesn’t need anyone’s permission to wear them.
