ANTO announces family deal, new resource center and internal changes – Travel Weekly
The Austrian National Tourist Board (ANTO) has launched the Austria Resource Hub, specifically designed for the Australian travel industry.
It’s a place to learn and find the tools to design an itinerary in Austria. Four destinations have been released so far with more to come. Salzburg, Innsbruck, the Wolfgangsee region in the Salzkammergut and the Arlberg region – all located in the western part of the country – are the first star destinations.
Astrid Gruchmann-Licht, Australia Manager at ANTO Sydney, visited each destination to get the latest product updates from her experts in the field.
“We are excited to launch a ‘one stop shop’ to create a unique trip to Austria. Inside the hub, agents can not only find the highlights of the destinations Australians love to visit, but the videos will really give them a better understanding of what awaits their customers – and themselves – in the cities and regions. “said Gruchmann-Licht. .
To celebrate the launch of the Austria Resource Hub, travel agents can win 1 of 6 seats on a single family “Pre-Christmas in Austria” from November 22-30, 2022, including flights with Emirates (+ domestic flights from correspondence if necessary). To enter the raffle, agents must watch the short videos of the 4 featured destinations and correctly answer the 8 quiz questions by October 17, 2022.
“For our family competition, we encourage agents across Australia to participate and experience one of the most magical times of the year in our home country. Before the pandemic, the weeks leading up to Christmas saw the biggest increase in visitors from Australia,” added Gruchmann-Licht.
The creation of the Austria Resource Hub with her colleague Kathrina Denk is Gruchmann-Licht’s latest b2b project in this market. Astrid will end her role as Director for Australia at the end of November 2022 and leave the Austrian National Tourist Board (ANTO) – after almost 33 years.
Kathrina Denk will be promoted to Market Representative and, from January 2023, will share offices with the Austrian Trade Commission and the Austrian Consulate General in Sydney’s CBD. Further relevant details will be shared with the industry at the end of October.
